Civil Engineering

Civil engineers are concerned with all types of structures including dams, bridges, pipelines, roads, towers and buildings. They are responsible for the design and construction of all our transport systems, the design and management of our gas and water supply, sewerage systems, harbours, airports and railways. A civil engineer will analyse the proposed site location as well as ensuring that structures are constructed in the safest, sturdiest manner.

They are also involved in many environmental areas such as the assessment of the impact large scale projects have on the environment and the collection and treatment of sewerage and industrial wastes, pollution control, environmental control and resource protection and management.

During the construction process, the civil engineer must inspect the product to ensure that all rules, regulations and guidelines have been explicitly followed. They are the people behind the scenes of construction jobs which result in important buildings and structures throughout cities and towns.

Civil engineers ensure not only that the buildings are constructed in a proper fashion but an expedient one as well. Should problems arise, they are the ones who step in to take control and come up with possible solutions.

Civil Design

All aspects of civil engineering design including stormwater, earthworks, roads and carparks, sewer and water reticulation, sediment and erosion control plans

Roads and Carparks

Detailed engineering design including all documentation for roads, intersections and carparks

Stormwater Design and Assessment

Design of surface and subsurface drainage systems for rural, urban and commercial development

Dam Design

Detailed engineering design and documentation of dam structures and other integrated water management devices.

Onsite Sewerage Management Systems

Where sewer is not available, we assess your site and prepare a report to be included with your DA detailing how those requirements will be met

Site and Soil Assessments

Assessments are to determine the suitability for various applications including effluent disposal, stormwater, slab design, foundation stability, revegetation and agricultural use
